Memorial Day, Nantucket Style
To many of us, Memorial Day officially kicks off the back-yard barbecue season. In the New England where I come from it's usually a little too cold to really enjoy the beach, but that's never stopped me from heading to the beach to begin the summer tanning season. However, this year I've come up with a great alternative to sitting on the cold beach, wrapped in my towel, with a Corona in my hand. This year I'm going to Figawi. For decades, Nantucket has kicked off the summer season with a sail boat race from Hyannis, MA to Nantucket, MA. I can't wait to spend the weekend on Nantucket Island!
